Hunter Herald 4 Mark 2 Baffle plate Item Code: 585
£22.95

Hunter Herald 4 mark II baffle plate

Suits the Herald 4 mark 2 (it replaces the original brick baffle)

The Hunter Herald 4 is one of the newest additions to the herald range - it is suited to the smaller fireplace opening as it is a compact model with a 4-5 kw output. The efficiency rating is above 70% and you get a pre heated air wash system to keep the glass clean. A versatile stove - either available as a flat top, low canopy or high canopy model also available with 1 or 2 doors - longer legs is an optional extra. There is a woodburning model and a multifuel model. The Hunter grate in the multi fuel model is an external riddling grate - this cuts down the amount of dust into the living area enormously - as you can keep the door to the stove shut while riddling the grate. If you make sure you leave it shut for a minute afterwards the dust will have gathered & you will get less into the atmosphere. You can get spares for this model - just like the other Hunter stoves - you might need a replacement glass or grate or some new fire rope with adhesive for fixing. The doors are sealed with 12mm rope, except for the centre part which requires 10mm rope.

There are many types of Hunter stove with various spares for each type. There are MK1, MK2, Pre CE and CE - many with different spares. How can you tell which is which?
Measure the glass and tell us.
Count the grate bars or is it a static grate?
If it has a metal throat plate then it is a MK1.
If it has a board baffle (not metal) then it is a MK11.
If the rear brick and baffle touch then it is a MK11.
If there is a bar with holes in it inbetween the baffle and brick then it is a C.E.

If in doubt contact us with these details!
