Stove rope kit fitting instructions

Step 1 Open the door of your stove and take note of the layout of the old rope, then Remove it from the door. Use a wire brush or similar to remove the old adhesive or flaky paint. This is to ensure optimal adhesion for the glue.

Step 2 Lay the length of rope along the channel in the door where it will sit (ensuring that it is not stretched) and mark where you will need to cut the rope so that the ends will meet/overlap.

Step 3 Cut a strip of the included adhesive tape (wrapped around the glue bottle) approximately 40mm long. Wrap this tightly around the rope where it will be cut. This is to prevent the ends from fraying. Cut through both the tape and rope.

Step 4 Paint the adhesive into the channel and lay the rope in do not stretch Allow 30 minutes for the adhesive to cure before re-fitting the stove door back onto the stove body. Close the door and allow a further 1-2 hours before relighting the stove
